A Review of AffiloJetpack

My first serious attempt at Internet Marketing came with the purchase of Mark Lings Affiloblueprint training course which I found to be most helpful to a budding newbie which is what it was designed for and I still highly recommend it but it’s difficult to ascertain who Mark is aiming at with his new AffiloJetpack.

Marks been around for quite a while and is highly regarded and respected within the internet marketing industry for the no BS no hype manner in which he teaches affiliate marketing to his students and has always been known to over provide with his previous products which include (AffiloBlueprint already mentioned) and his Affilorama Premium ( For the more advanced) both of which are still drawing new members and providing updated tips to existing ones. The forums associated with these are also an excellent source of information.

However. I’m a bit confused about AffiloJetpack in that in my first take it seemed to be targeting the total newbies but on digging a little deeper it also seems to be pressing the hot keys of the more experienced affiliate marketers.

Click Here To Build Money Making Niche Sites Fast and Easy

For the complete newbie it addresses quite a few barriers faced by the totally new to Affiliate Marketing, by smashing down those barriers which stand between failure and success for the average Joe Newbie.

I agree with what he says in identifying what is for many the first hurdle in trying to decide on a niche to target. I know from my own experience and from watching other newbies deliberate for weeks or months in trying to determine which way to go with so many niches available.

AffiloJetpack has overcome this with TEN hand picked niches which have already been proved successful by Mark Ling himself who has already made money from them through his promotions which really takes a load off the newbies shoulders. How many times I’ve wished for that in the past and even now?

The second barrier he overcomes is the actual building of the web site by creating a unique wordpress theme designed specifically for ease of use even by the most inexperienced web site builder. It includes functionality which only extremely experienced web site builders would think of. It also includes Mark’s personal squeeze page builder which allows you and teaches you, how to put together squeeze page layouts within your own promotional niche.

The theme also reflects Mark’s extensive experience in teaching inexperienced affiliates by including media and image uploaders and thereby eliminating the need to learn FTP programs in order to upload header and back ground images in order to get them online.

This AffiloJetpack theme is absolutely perfect for the raw recruit and Mark has also included free hosting for the first year. While many claim that installing wordpress and a good theme is easy……it does require a number of steps which need to be taken perfectly and any one of these steps taken even slightly of course will render the whole thing useless and cause unnecessary confusion and frustration where it could have been achieved with just one click of the mouse button.

Mark also includes the content comprising 20 pre-written top quality articles per each of the ten niches which can be just plugged into your site or re-written for complete SEO advantage.

All above is pretty well a kit website you can use for your own design and feel and includes all you need to build a high quality professional looking website without having to go through the tedious learning curve most others have had to negotiate in the past but….that’s just the beginning of what Mark is offering.

Also included is an 80 part auto-responder series which can be used with services such as Aweber or any of the Auto responder services available. Use these to gather email addresses in order to form a relationship with your visitors and create a mailing list!

The phrase “The Money is in The List” has been bantered around the internet for quite a long time and with good reason. This is the thing which earns all very successful Internet Marketers the most revenue and Mark himself has said on numerous occasions that he finds it disappointing when his students don’t add an auto responder to their web sites.

When I first started out I was guilty of doing just that. I just wanted to get a site up and running and making money. I didn’t want to put more money up in building a follow up series until the first one started bringing in money. However I’ve since learned that not only does an auto-responder help in building relationships with your visitors but it also adds credibility to a site and many tutors and successful affiliates will swear that it’s even more important than having affiliate products on your site.

The autoresponder series within AffiloJetpack consists of about 65 very informative emails and around 15 hard sell letters written by Mark himself and are of exceptionally high quality. I was even tempted to put them right here on my website along with some affiliate products.

Mark even tells you the best time and frequency in which to send them. From personal experience I’ve learned that sending auto responder emails out only once per week to new subscribers for the first couple of months, just doesn’t work. People are craving for information and follow up information and they want it now! If they don’t get it from you, they’ll go elsewhere and you will lose them.

CLICK HERE TO TAKE ALL THE HARD WORK OUT OF BUILDING MONEY MAKING NICHE SITES NOW!

Another advantage to this is that once people become regular visitors to your site, you can then promote other affiliate products to them and watch the commissions roll in.

The other thing that made me consider that this is not just for newbies, is that in Mark’s opinion, while SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is low risk in that besides the tactics involved it’s free, is that the bigger risk that newbies face is that results will be slow in coming and just give up.

As a result of this way of thinking as another part of AffiloJetpack, he’s offering to provide further training on a wide variety of methods used to generate traffic. While SEO can certainly be used it does take time for the search engines to index your site and then for them to recognize yours as an authority site. Google for one is now viewing sites considered to be authority sites with more favor but as I said it takes time and Mark is saying that for faster results other traffic generating methods should be considered.

So…my final verdict? AffiloJetpack is ideal for those new to the game or for those who haven’t been able to get over the techie hurdles of building a web site. The whole concept makes it amusingly easy compared to all the weeks and months of frustration and learning it takes many newbies to learn how to put a viable and successful affiliate site together on their own

The more experienced affiliates will see the undeniable value in the vast amount of quality content included. In doing a bit of research I found that even to put one of the series of newsletters included together, would cost more than double the complete asking asking price of the entire product. And remember that there are 10 niches to chose five from each with it’s own individual newsletter series. From a budget point of view…that’s exceptionally good value.

AFFILOJETPACK IN A NUTSHELL

  • TEN HIGH QUALITY PROVEN  NICHE SITES. (choose 5)
  • PUSH BUTTON WEB DESIGN SOLUTION
  • NICHE RESEARCH DONE FOR YOU
  • THREE PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED HEADER GRAPHICS
  • ONE CLICK WORDPRESS INSTALLATION

  • THREE “FREE REPORT” EBOOKS PER NICHE. (30 in all)
  • TWENTY HIGH QUALITY PLR ARTICLES FOR EACH SITE. (60 in total)
  • FIVE HARD HITTING HARD SELL EMAILS (personally written by Mark Ling)

So….regardless of which way you look at this product and at which level you may be, I think it would be worth grabbing even if it was only for the content and nothing else!

Very Highly Recommended.

Stop doing things the hard way go here now!

“Foul” The Cry Went Up!

“Foul” She cried.

I might be shooting myself in the foot by writing this but I just felt as though I had to say something.

A couple of weeks ago I bought and promoted a new product which teaches how to target high end tangible products as an affiliate.

While I found the product to be an excellent alternative to promoting “e” products… during the product launch, the creators sent out a leader board progress email to affiliates, as many product creators do… followed by a final score and notification of bonus winners etc.

See the email content here

Now I’m not bias in any way toward people making a killing by promoting a product online , but it sickens me somewhat to see the same names coming up time and time again.

This last last one was particularly nauseating because the overall winner (being the one who sold more copies of the product than anyone else) was none other than a person who is well known as one the worlds top affiliate marketers and a multimillionaire in his own right.

See the post here

He also produces and promotes his own affiliate products and affiliate marketing courses to other affiliates and wanna be’s and owns and operates one of the top ten fastest growing companies in New Zealand!

He has  mailing lists of several hundred thousand subscribers and a permanent staff of between 30 and 50 people researching and promoting other affiliate products in his name as well as outsourcing much of his work in other countries including Australia, England and the USA.

So……. Not only will he receive the affiliate commissions on the sales he made but will also receive the bonus prizes which include a 50% bonus modifier….an IPAD ….and $9000 in cash.

One of the other major prize winners is also extremely well known within the affiliate marketing world and made zillions a couple of years ago with his product, “The Day Job Killer”. He goes by the name of Chris X but most who have been around the affiliate marketing niche know him by his real name.

Of the 10 major winners announced, at least 6 of them are among the most recognized top affiliate marketers world wide!

I know this post might sound like like sour grapes but it’s not intended as such. As a matter of fact I actually promote some of these people’s products which are of exceptional value but I just feel that there should be some sort of governor or handicap in place to stop this sort of thing happening time and time again and give the smaller people a fair go.

While I realize that any form of marketing can be a cut throat game, many of the people mentioned above preach integrity within the ranks but when it comes to integrating their own yard stick…..fall far short of their own Mark.

Are you the Sore Thumb

Have you ever felt like you are the proverbial sore thumb or the dog’s danglers?

I have and do….everyday.

Computers and the Internet weren’t part of my upbringing or education because being born within the baby boomer era, they simply didn’t exist!

As a result probably 90% of the people testing the waters and trying their hand in internet marketing, are below the age of 40 and have egos to go with it.

Hence sticking out like a sore thumb is part of being a baby boomer internet marketer. “It just aint’ natural” and many younger internet marketers don’t take us seriously or see us as real competition.

How wrong they are!

In a hurry? Click here.

Do you know why the phrase “sticks out like a sore thumb” came into being?

The obvious answer would be that if you have a sore thumb it’s probably because you’ve hurt it accidentally and because its red and swollen its far more likely to be noticed by anyone who glances at your hand.

Well. If you said that, you’re only partly correct.

When we’re hurt physically we tend to favor the damaged area in several ways. The obvious one would be to protect it with a surgical dressing, bandage, sling etc; but what do you do with a sore thumb which has been hit by a hammer causing painful bruising but not breaking the skin?

You stick it out to the side out of the way to ensure it doesn’t get bumped or knocked again because if it does cop another bump regardless of how lightly….it *&%$# hurts!

Q) What makes a good boss?

A) A good boss will send you home.

If you’re in a physical job which requires you to use your hands and hand tools constantly and you wind up with a sore thumb or finger through a minor accident, a good boss will send you home or depending on the severity, to a doctor or hospital for attention. But that’s not what makes him/her a good boss in such a case.

What makes a good boss is that he/she knows that because you will be favoring the sore thumb or finger by sticking it out, it’s then in a place where it normally wouldn’t be and is even more likely to be damaged more severely because your brain is telling it that it’s where it belongs, when in fact it isn’t and as a result is more likely to be struck again by something which IS where it’s normally supposed to be and your sore thumb or finger isn’t..

Baby boomer internet marketers are a bit like that sore thumb because we’re within a niche we wouldn’t normally be in and as such are more likely to be damaged because we don’t have the basic education that so many of our colleagues and opposition learned as a normal part of their school curriculum as children.

As a result we need to be sent home or we need to learn to keep that sore thumb where the younger ones learned to keep theirs when they were young…….or do we?

As baby boomers what we need…. is to set a course which has all the basics already in place so that we don’t have to learn them or implement them.

My introduction to affiliate marketing was through a course created by Affiliate Marketing Millionaire Mark Ling and was called  AffiloBlueprint. I can honestly say that I learned 80% of what I now know about affiliate marketing through that course and still highly recommend it and promote it but Mark and his team have  just spent nearly the past year setting another such course which alleviates the necessity for all that learning and the sore thumb.

It’s called “AffiloJetpack” and is easily the best such course available anywhere and I highly recommend it.

While Affilojetpack is not specifically targeted at Baby Boomers, I see it as the ideal method for baby boomers to get into Affiliate Marketing while avoiding the sore thumb syndrome so many of us have had to go through.

Find all the information on this Affilojetpack revolutionary course here.

The Death Of Niche Marketing

Does this link hail The Death of Niche Marketing?

Over the past year or so since I started to take the idea of Internet Marketing more seriously, I always leaned toward the idea of promoting digital products as opposed to physical products. The reasoning behind that is simply because that’s where I’d been led.

However I always liked the the idea of promoting tangible products because I thought that I would feel better in myself if my customers had something they could touch or use physically. It probably stems from my up bringing when we were taught that if you can’t use it and then sell it, it wasn’t worth having in the first place.

Outside looking in

I’ve since changed my way of thinking somewhat in that there is really no monetary value which can be placed on knowledge and information can be priceless to those seeking it in order to solve a problem if indeed the problem is solved.

Still, my upbringing holds in good stead but until recently I hadn’t realized just how profitable promoting physical products can be. I always thought that because most tangible products have a low commission rate, that it wasn’t worth while pursuing. Amazon for example only have a commission of around 3-4% which when selling a second hand book for example could be as little as a single dollar or even less on a shipped item.

However, I had an email from an associate a couple of weeks ago which had me taking another look at the idea of promoting physical products as well as digital and what I found was quite startling.

What about Clickbank?

For one thing, the system he told me about doesn’t actively promote clickbank products because they are all digital products and as I mentioned, this system is all about promoting tangible products. But… it’s worthwhile noting that the same system can be used to promote any product at all including digital products.

Digital Products Have More Competition!

For example, if you sell a digital product you might make up to 75% commission on the sale which apart from some exceptions will rake you in anything from around $5 to $20 per sale or more but, taking into consideration the number of affiliates promoting the higher ranking products and the number of similar products available, it can be hard work to compete and to win a sale.

Whereas, physical products have a lot less people promoting them and if you think in dollar value a single set golf clubs for example sold for $1000 dollars with a commission of 5% will bring you in $50 for the same amount of effort on your part with a lot fewer affiliates to compete with.

A couple of fellow Aussies have come up with a system for selling physical products which I actually bought a few days ago and I’m so impressed with it already I thought I’d share it on here.

Daniel Turner and Marc Lindsay have put together a simple system which will make you in excess of $18,000 per month.

Check out the full details here.

One of the many things which both confused and annoyed me when I first became interested in Internet marketing, was the “Don’t do what I do, do what I say” scenario used by so many affiliate marketers and guru’s alike.

Lambs to the Slaughter

I think it’s fairly safe to say that all who become interested in making money online, do so because they’d either read or been told that there’s easy money to made on the net. So, the next move is to go looking for a means by which they can become another rich internet millionaire.

Now, the one thing we are all invariably guilty of in our searches, is to sign up to what seems to be promising free news letters or actually subscribe to paid ones?

While there is nothing wrong with that “initially”, in that there is so much great free and paid information available online, one of the first pieces of advice every internet marketing course, affiliate newsletter or subscription regardless of cost will provide you with ….. Is to “unsubscribe from all the other subscriptions you have signed up for”.

The “Delete Your Cookies” suggestion

Many marketers will also tell you to delete your cookies and temporary internet files as well to ensure the security of your computer. But this ploy is really only to ensure that there is less likelihood of you buying the same product they are promoting from another affiliate who’s URL you may have saved or will be in the history of your browser. (This is a sneaky little trick which became popular a couple of years ago but fortunately seems to have lost flavor somewhat in that it lacks ethics, integrity and credibility.)

So once having done what is suggested, the next thing which will happen is that you start to receive the affiliate newsletter you subscribed to, which will usually contain several product links.

Circles within Circles

That’s fine as well because that’s how many affiliates sell the products they are promoting…..but, the links provided when clicked on will almost invariably take you to an auto responder opt in, sign up page. Now since you’ve already signed up to the page your now on, the new sign up will more often than not, subscribe you to one of the subscriptions you were advised to sign out of in the first place??????

The Gullible Newbie

Like so many newbies, I couldn’t understand the logic of this until I realized that by re-subscribing, I was actually doing so under the affiliate link of the person’s newsletter I had recently subscribed to and if I actually purchased anything from my new sign up, the affiliate I had just signed up under would receive commissions for that sale.

The problem is however, for newbies, they find ourselves in the exactly the same sinking boat they started in, with the same  confusing glut of information overload they were advised to avoid in the first place.

The Catch 22

It’s all a bit like the dog chasing his tail in one direction and then turning around and doing it in the other. Poor old Fido doesn’t realize that the solution to his problem is to simply sit on the damn thing to keep it still  and he can bite it and it’s fleas all he likes.

Internet marketing has it’s similarities in that if you find a method that you can sit on which will help you achieve success, don’t go spinning off in another direction.

Fishing for Guest Blog Posts

A few days ago I received an offer from a list owner to write a guest blog post on my blog.

While guest blog posts are hardly a new idea for getting traffic to your site, it was the first time someone had actually suggested it to me so it sparked my interest.

Granted that the invitation came from a list I’d previously signed up to, I did have some faith in the sender because he had shown remarkable results from his twitter account and was also a member of a private forum of which I’m also a member.

In the guest blog post invitation, he’s taken steps to make it easy for anyone to contact him if they indeed wanted him to submit a guest post so I did!

He’s made a point of explaining the benefits of guest blog  posts to both the blog owner and himself and also requested an outline of which topic the blog owner would like him to write a guest post on. He also mentioned that the email was being sent to 10,000 subscribers so I’d need to be fast!

Seeing this as a good opportunity to have a well known “twitterer” guest post on my blog, I wrote a detailed email back to him providing all the information he said he required to write the guest blog post and the following is some of what I wrote:

“I’ve been on your list for only a couple of months and joined because I was impressed with some of your posts in the marketing with Alex forum of which I’m also a member.
If you look at my blog you’ll see that I’m a baby boomer hopefully targeting other boomers with the intention of inspiring them to jump on the internet marketing wagon to ensure a regular income for their retirement.
I think the vast majority of people in their 60’s don’t have the skills to operate a computer to the degree where they can set up an internet business, and it’s those skills or the lack of them, I would like your guest blog post to target, in creating an interest in learning them.
The other thing which comes to mind is Australia’s notorious reputation for slow internet connections and how to develop an internet marketing business with that restriction”.

The following day I received the following email from him and my reply:
Hi Sean,

Thanks for the email, but… can you tell me what you want a guest blog post on?

David
“Hi David.

Sorry you didn’t get the gist of what I wanted. I thought I’d mapped it out within the  2 sentences below this message. (now above) If you could write a post on baby boomers entering the Internet marketing field………..with the usual complications and restrictions of not having previously had any formal computer training at school etc.

I realise it’s a broad field to write about but if you can write anything at all which is relevant to the topics it will have the effect you want in providing exposure to yourself and also provide me with a guest blog post etc.”

His reply indicated to me that the whole exercise was a waste of time in that it seemed that he wasn’t interested in carrying out any research on any other topic other than the ones he was familiar with in order to write a guest blog post for anyone.
What he wrote back to me was the following:
Hi Sean,

Seeing as I am not a baby boomer myself, you would be far more qualified to write a post on that topic than me……

Do you have another suggestion for me?

David
I did have another suggestion for him but I think would be inappropriate to include it here.
Now I may be wrong but I think I made the topic of the guest blog post I wanted fairly clear in my first email to him and that realistically, even if only 10% of the people he sent the original email out to wanted him to write a guest post he would be writing 1000 guest blog posts which would keep him busy for quite a long time.
So….I guess it just reinforces what I’ve come to firmly believe and advise. Pay particular attention to whose lists you sign up to and restrict them to only those you completely trust.

I’m now off his list!

Tear Duct of A Tropical Cyclone

In the early hours of Sunday morning March 21/2010, tropical cyclone Ului slammed into the region in which in I live on the north east coast of Queensland Australia.

Tropical cyclones are a natural occurrence basically caused by the clashing of hot and cold air in the atmosphere over the ocean in tropical or sub tropical regions of the world. South of the equator they are known as cyclones and rotate in a clockwise direction while north of the equator they are called hurricanes or typhoons and rotate in an anti-clockwise direction but regardless of their title or rotational attributes, they can have a devastating effect on the human habitat as anyone who has been unfortunate enough to live in a area or indeed be in an area which is struck by one of these powerful quirks of nature. A Guru’s ATM!

Are you a Guru’s ATM?

Some time ago when I first became interested in internet marketing, I recall doing what most of us do when getting started in that I watched countless videos and signed up to numerous free and paid courses and news letters which had my inbox groaning under the weight.

I remember when online videos first took off as a marketing tool and I still recall my feelings of exuberance when I watched my first one, fully believing at the time that I’d found my future in the product it was promoting.

It was a new system unlike anything ever done before. It thoroughly trashed every other single method of making money online such as affiliate marketing, list building, email marketing, blogging, forum marketing, article marketing and every other system previously developed. It even went so far as to give eBay a blasting when at the time eBay was probably the most successful form of making money online there was!

It went on to show proof of how “Their System” had made this person 20K in as many days and yadda yadda yadda……

All you needed to do was to go to a certain web page where you submitted all your details including your phone number and they would be in touch within a few days to tell you how you would become rich almost overnight.

Sure enough a few days later when answering the phone in my home on the North East Coast of Northern Australia, I was greeted by a very friendly and heavily accented American voice that proceed to tell me how, by investing around 15K I could easily make around 5K in no time at all.

Now I’m no mathematical whiz kid but that idea didn’t seem to be what I had in mind when laboring through the initial video and filling in the form with all the little boxes which simply had to be filled in so precisely.

When at the end he finally asked me to sign up and I declined, he abused me for wasting his time at which time I simply hung up. I couldn’t believe it when the phone rang a couple of minutes later to have him call me back to berate me a little more, not once but 3 times after I kept hanging up. Obviously after the third time I just unplugged the phone.

I later found out that the person who called me was actually representing one of the biggest and most well known internet marketing gurus there is.

Another one was the guy who was making 250K per year with Adsense. He only wanted $297 to reveal his brand new never seen before cutting edge system.

Adsense????? Who was he kidding?

The above are just a couple of examples of how these so called gurus want you to be their own personal ATM’s  and over the next few posts I’m going to attempt to outline how to avoid becoming a slave to these sharks even though you may only be a tadpole in their midst.

A clue: How to Stay focused!

About the Nostalgia Page.

This really isn’t the nostalgia page at all. The nostalgia page is in the above margin above the header but I just thought I’d introduce it here.

As a result of the feedback and comments I received about the “Older than dirt” post I thought I’d reserve a special page just for nostalgia.

Since this blog is really from a baby boomer for the benefit of other baby boomers, we should see some amusing and maybe “lump in throat” memories emerge.

The whole idea is to just go to the nostalgia page above and write about a nostalgic memory. Preferably your post should be about things that no longer exist such as the way things were done “back in the olden days when WE were kids”

However you don’t have to be a baby boomer to post on the nostalgia page.

Any interesting stories you might have about the past are welcome. Maybe you heard something from your parents or grandparents which will be fine.

I’ll start it off with a few and hopefully others will add to it as time goes by.

Just click on the nostalgia page at the top of this page or click here to start.
